Arise and Shine International Ministries (ASIM) is a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to empowering individuals and transforming communities across Africa. Founded by Bishop Patrick R. Mutware, ASIM believes that sustainable development begins with healthy people, strong families, and ethical leadership — our guiding motto being:
“Healthy People, Healthy Family, Healthy Country.”

With headquarters in Kigali, Rwanda, and liaison offices in DR Congo and Malawi, ASIM works across borders to inspire spiritual growth, promote ethical governance, and equip individuals with tools for economic empowerment. We are legally registered with the Rwanda Governance Board (No. 655/31/11/2011), and our programs reach youth, women, leaders, and entire communities through a values-driven approach.

Our signature program, the Africa Reborn Excellence Award, honors visionary African leaders who exemplify peacebuilding, economic development, ethical governance, and innovation. The first honoree was His Excellency President Paul Kagame in 2013.
